Tonight’s red carpet event at GLAAD

For tonight’s red carpet event at GLAAD, I have about 6 hours to get a manicure, buff the body from a pasty white shade into a golden tan, pick a stunning dress to hug my figure, buy earrings, find shoes I won’t stumble in, apply makeup that won’t scare guests away and either get my hair cut or styled.

Instead, I’m reading a good book. Thoughts? Should I get started or go with a natural look or hope there won’t be a gauntlet of photographers interested in getting my image?

This is as glamorous as I could make it without hiring any professionals. Wish me luck!

I’m beyond thrilled to have met the inimitable Jeffrey Tambor! I was able to briefly talk about the Transparency photography project and I’ll update you all on any progress!
At one point I had to pinch myself! In October of last year I was watching the TV show Transparent and decided then I wanted to meet him! Seven months later I had moved to New York, started the project and now had the chance to have dinner with him at an awards show. Crazy!

Call it manifesting or call it wishing but I know you can make it happen! Thank you for believing in me. It made all the difference.

I have admired Judith Light since growing up watching her on Who’s the Boss? It was an honor meeting her and we had a surprisingly quiet and personal moment meeting at the GLAAD Media Awards where she and Jeffrey Tambor were being recognized for the groundbreaking work as ‪#‎LGBT‬ allies in Transparent.
