Finally, we’d like to share the following model call from photographer Daphne Chan.
“Hi there! My name is Daphne Chan and I’m a photographer working on an art residency for the New York Art Studios Foundation. I’m looking for models for Transparency: The Gender Identity Project and it’s a photographic depiction of the LGBT and genderqueer community of New York. I’m currently photographing individuals who challenge the social precepts of gender identity and gender expression.
The goal of Transparency: The Gender Identity Project is to celebrate and encourage the expansion and public awareness of queer fluid expression. The LGBT community has historically faced systemic discrimination and I believe this project provides a platform for visibility, recognition and eventual acceptance.
If you’re interested in modeling for the project, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your availability. I will email you a form on how to prepare, how the photo session works and ask you about what you most want from the session.
The photoshoots will take place on the following Mondays and Tuesdays in April 2015:
Mon and Tue April April 6 and 7
Mon and Tue April April 13 and 14
Mon and Tue April April 20 and 21
Mon and Tue April April 27 and 28
