It’s starting to look like home

It’s now been just over two months since I opened my new studio. When I first moved in, the space was empty, it was a blank canvas. I could decorate it any way I wanted. Images of cool, stylish Tribeca lofts inspired me.  Then the reality of a budget set in and my designer furniture turned into browsing the Ikea catalogue turned into “Hey this is a good price, will it fit through the door?”  Like any place that you move into, it’s the personal touches that start to make it feel like it’s your own space.

Over the past few weeks I’ve gotten some furniture and I’m sure my clients appreciate being able to sit during a consultation. Today the signage for the door outside the studio was installed and I’m pleased about the way it looks. What do you think?

There’s a spot above that table that’s waiting for a large print. I’ll show it to you when it arrives.
